Last weekend the women's elite team had our last training event before heading to South Africa!! We played as a team at the CanAm Midwestern Championships in Milwaukee, WI. On Friday we had a friendly scrimmage against the Canada Elite Women. During the weekend we played in the Regional Elite division which included 4 US Regional Men's Teams, USA Elite Women, and Canada Elite Women. We ended up placing 5th out of the 6 teams. We had a lot of fun and played really well together. We are excited to head to South Africa in less than 7 weeks!
In addition to the tournament, we raised money to shave our Team Manager's (Orri) beard! Luckily Orri was very supportive. Thanks to Weston and Uncle Terry for offering the generous match! We raised over $1000 to help us pay for our trip! In addition, all the ladies got a swipe at Orri's beard! Check out the pictures below!
